Welcome!

Welcome to the World of Expressive Voicework™ - Your Journey to Creative Freedom

Hello! I'm Jen May, the creator of Expressive Voicework™. My passion is supporting individuals like you in liberating your singing voice, innate artistry, and musicality, encouraging you to tap into your unique creative current. My goal is to assist you in realizing a life of boundless expressive freedom. I am here to accompany you on this beautiful, sacred voyage.

This journey is an opportunity to deeply honor the individuality of every participant. Over the past two decades, I have worked with thousands of individuals, both singers and non-singers, including artists from major labels and those in film and television. My experience is to ensure that you're in safe hands, everyone who steps in has a singular desire to express their unique voice in their personal way.

I want to assure you that you are not only welcomed but also celebrated here. I believe that your voice, grounded in truth, is sacred, beautiful, and incomparable.

The fear and feelings of inadequacy that many people, including myself, have struggled with, especially when it comes to vocal expression, deeply saddens me. I was born to sing and to live freely as an artist, guided by my own rules and my wild heart.

The turning point for me was when I recognized that my voice was a divine gift, or the product of generations of my family. I understood that my voice wasn't mine to judge but to cherish humbly, without ego. That realization helped set my voice free, and I aspire to assist you in achieving this freedom.

Imagine the exhilaration of singing, writing, playing, and creating as freely and wildly as the wind, feeling aligned and vibrant at your core.

My approach with Expressive Voicework™ is multi-dimensional. It weaves together physical, technical, emotional, and spiritual aspects, drawing upon five elements. You might resonate with a single element or all five – every journey is unique.

  1. Primal Soul Voicework: This is the ritual of being completely present with your emotions, opening up to the moment and allowing your soul to sing. This raw presence is mesmerizing.

  2. Technical Vocal Mastery: Here, exercises expand your voice in terms of power, range, and flexibility, thereby eliminating barriers to your expressive freedom.

  3. Artistry Coaching: This component allows you to deeply understand yourself, imparting strength and fearlessness. It's about deeply honoring your unique voice and working style.

  4. Songwriting and Musicality skills: If you're interested, you can learn to write songs and play an instrument, accompanying yourself right from day one.

  5. Self Expression and Confidence work: This area is vast, incorporating various disciplines to facilitate your openness and integration into your full potential.

We've been conditioned to silence ourselves, to control our emotions, to hide the truth, to avoid comparison, but what if we replace this with self-acceptance, self-love, and mindfulness? What if we no longer silenced ourselves, but celebrated our individuality?

You don't need to be anyone else – your magic lies in being you, just as it does for every artist you've ever admired.

My interest lies in your voice, your humanity, your story, your truth, your magic. My goal is to create a safe space for these aspects of you to flourish and evolve, providing the support you need to liberate your expression.

I am eager to witness the gentle, natural emergence and expansion of your voice, musicality, artistry, and true nature, just as they were always meant to be. Reach out and let me know how I can support you on this journey.
